Jayahind Sciaky, was founded by Late Shri. H.K. Firodia – noted industrialist and philanthropist; fondly remembered as the Doyen of Indian Automobile Industry. He was a man who nearly single handedly laid the foundations of the now thriving Indian Automobile Industry.

Mr. Arun Firodia

He is a rare combination of a brilliant Engineer and an astute Businessman. He is the Chairman of Jayahind Sciaky, India’s leading manufacturers of Resistance Welding Machines . A leading Industrialist, he is also a Social activist.Born in 1943, Mr. Arun Firodia obtained his B.Tech with distinction in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Mumbai in 1965. He later went to US and obtained his MS in Electrical Engineering from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). He completed his MS in Management from ‘Sloan School of Management’. He had a bright academic career.He inherits the rich tradition of his illustrious father late Shri H K Firodia, the Doyen of Indian Automobile Industry.

He has collaborated with world renowned companies such as Hyundai, Taigene, Sciaky, Daewoo, San Yang etc. for manufacturing of advanced technology products. Mr. Arun Firodia is the Founder Chairman of ” H K Firodia Memorial Foundation” started in the honour & memory of his father Late Shri H K Firodia in 1996. The Foundation institutes “H K Firodia Awards For Excellence in Science & Technology” which are given to outstanding Indian Scientists for their original contributions and world class work in any branch of science. These Awards so far have been presented to many eminent & distinguished scientists like Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, Dr. K Kasturirangan, Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Dr. R. Chidambaram, Prof. CNR Rao, Dr. R A Mashelkar and Dr. Obaid Siddiqi, Dr. P N Tandon and others.

Mr. Arun Firodia is:

• The Past President of Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture. (2000 -2002)
• The Founder President of ‘Pune Citizens’ Police Foundation (PCPF).
• A member of the Executive Committee of Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers.
• A member of Advisory Board of All India Sainik Welfare Association.
